Welcome
to De Sino Gallery! We carry the largest selection of stone, cast iron and bronze
Buddhist statues in the bay area, as well as the largest stock of Cultural
Revolution memorabilia in the country, both in the gallery and online -
1930 Shanghai and More (1930shanghai.com).
Our book on Cultural Revolution Posters and Memorabilia, published by Schiffer
Publishing in October 05, is available for purchase
at Amazon.com.
Our Spring trip to China and Tibet yield so many exciting and unexpected finds that we have to chart two containers to get them all back. The first container, arriving in June carrying live size garden doors, Tibetan musical instruments, Lahma blessed Thankas, butcher farm tables, and many more stone statues. The next container, which are waiting for the restoration of Tibetan door, and the conversion of a hand drawn standing screen panel, will arrive in late summer. Come and see for yourself - why Sunset Magazine is calling us "New Berkeley" in the June 05 Travel Section.
We are now located at 2216 San Pablo Ave., cross street Allston. In addition to the indoor gallery, we have approximately 2000 sq feet of an outdoor garden space, where the stone statues will be prominently displayed, alongside of the wooden moon gates and blossoming plum trees. We have put in the wondering path, a meditation spot and other improvement to the garden to allow our customers to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of a Buddhist Zen environment, much like where many of these stone statues once came from. We travel frequently in China to bring unusual home furnishings to our clients. Now serving complimentary tea .
Whether you are our past online clients from West Coast Trading Group and 1930 Shanghai and More, or a new customer, we are very glad to have you.
