Tour De China, March 2003

We had the most wonderful time in Xi'an, where we visited the Great Mosque, the fabulous Shaan Xi history museum and the world famous Terra Cotta Soldier sites, and we ate so many delicious local specialties, especially those yummy buns in the soup, known as the muslim dishes.

There we were greeted by my cousin's girlfriend who's a local Xi'An gal and who showed us the real Xi'An and Xi'An people in a matter of two days.

Not surprising to us, many of the items we saw in China -- Roof Tiles, Ancient Doors, Chinese Bronzes, Tang Tri Color Pottery, odd stone sculptures and Buddhist stone statues, to name a few -- had already inspired us and could be found in our store. Our clients have also been returning to us to obtain more of these unique architectural elements time and time again.

The Roof Tiles, Stone Statues and Wood Panels were impressive sights by themselves.

At De Sino Gallery, our architectural elements exhibitions bear uncanny similarities to what we have seen in China. We are glad that we are able to bring, and sometimes recover these wonderful treasures from the ancient China to the United States. Our May shipment will contain a variety of antique to vintage roof tiles. Our July shipment will contain these ever so popular wooden panels. There will be more Han style pottery and clay arts as well in our May collection. Due to arrive soon.

At De Sino Gallery, we offer museum quality Chinese Bronze replica pieces that are of exquisite designs rarely seen outside of the Chinese museums.

Our passion for ancient stone statues and sculptures were the primary reason for our trip to Xi'An, where we located tremendous number of breathtakingly beautiful stone statues, albeit many have been abandoned. Our hearts sank when we realized that many of these national treasures have fallen under despair. So we took photos and lots of them for that matter. In the case we could arrange for shipment, we brought them back with us.
